Artisanal vessels use wind sails and deploy hand nets to catch small volumes of wild Mexican blue shrimp. Eight fisher coops have collectively organized to certify this product as Fair Trade, which guarantees a 5-10% premium is paid back to the harvest level. Fully peeled and deveined, zero chemicals. Product has been frozen only once or twice as small harvest batches are combined to be processed. Shrimp are sized 26-30/lb, and will be about 22-24 shrimp per 12oz pack.
